The toy, which was utilised as part of a NASA educational programme, will partake in a ticker tape parade at Walt Disney World early next month.
Disney recently revealed plans to re-release the franchise's first two films in 3D.
The third instalment, which will again feature the voice talents of Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear and Tom Hanks as cowboy Woody, will be released in cinemas on June 18, 2010.
