Managers at the Sea Life London Aquarium claim that the tunes from the late head of the Love Unlimited Orchestra have had the desired effect on the previously loveshy male Zorro, Ananova reports.
Deputy curator Jamie Oliver said: "We are absolutely delighted that Zorro is finally getting it together with his intended but the courtship rituals of the zebra shark can appear quite violent and some guests have been a little alarmed.
"I suppose you could describe it as a shark love bite as foreplay involves the male following the female biting her pectoral fins and tail very vigorously."
He added: "We're going to great lengths to reassure guests that it's all natural and playful and will hopefully result in lots of little Zorros!"
The 6-year-old zebra shark was originally shipped in from Belgium to mate with the single Mazawabee but their initial relationship was non-sexual.
