The Korean Air Line plane was grounded to allow crew members to capture the bird, which was believed to be a sparrow, Reuters reports.
Company spokesperson Cho Hyung-chul said: "The bird got in through an open airplane door and was spotted during boarding.
"The passengers on the flight were asked to leave the plane as the airline tried to prevent the bird from taking the domestic flight. The bird was captured and set free."
All 123 people on the plane suffered a three-hour delay as they were forced to change flights to continue their journey.
