Man 'tries to rob bank with spoon'

Police are reportedly looking for a man who failed in his attempt to rob a bank with a spoon.

The red-headed man went into the branch in Lublin, Poland wielding the implement and yelled "this is a stick-up", Dziennik Wschodni reports.

Cashiers and customers fell to the ground before realising the nature of the would-be-robber's weapon and he left without being given any money.

Police spokeswoman Renata Laszczka-Rusek said: "It's a weird one but he broke the law and we want to find him."
