A man who dived into water hazards at a local golf course to find lost balls has been arrested for theft.

The South Korean man, identified only as Lee, is accused of stealing at least 26,000 balls, The AP says.

Lee has allegedly been diving into the hazards wearing a diving suit and oxygen tank since June last year. The balls he took are reportedly worth around 13 million won (£6,724).

He worked either alone or with his niece or friend, who was arrested last year for stealing 22,000 balls.

He then sold on the balls to training ranges for 500 won (25p) each.
