Meanwhile, Marley And Me won the Rom-Com Rover award for romantic-comedy companionship, and Beverley Hills Chihuahua received the Comedy Canine prize.
Up won the Blockbuster Bowser award for event-movie performance, while Fish Tank received the Mutt Moment prize for a stand-out cinematic canine moment.
Christopher Biggins was among those handing out the prizes, while journalists from Heat, Empire, The Times, The Independent and the Evening Standard sat on the judging panel.
Fido Awards producer Toby Rose said: "Not only do pets win prizes, but our beloved four-legged friends make an invaluable contribution to the entertainment which we all enjoy, and they deserve the recognition which we've given them today."
Dogs Trust CEO Clarissa Baldwin added: "Dogs Trust is thrilled to be associated with the Fido Awards, particularly as this year saw so many fantastic dog films at the box office.
"The winners should take a well-deserved bow-wow."
