Woman blames crash on bikini line shave

A Florida woman has reportedly claimed that her car crash was a result of her shaving her pubic hair.

According to the Key West Citizen, 37-year-old Megan Mariah Barnes let her ex-husband Charles Judy take control of the car from the passenger seat while she attended to her bikini line.

Florida Highway Patrol trooper Gary Dunick said: "She said she was meeting her boyfriend in Key West and wanted to be ready for the visit. If I wasn't there, I wouldn't have believed it.

"I know there's a funny side to this, but it's also deadly serious. This is a scary road and a lot of bad wrecks are caused by dumb stuff like this."

He added: "It is unbelievable. I'm really starting to believe this stuff only happens in the Keys."

Barnes was charged with reckless driving, driving with no insurance, driving with a revoked license and leaving the scene of a crash. Judy was not charged.
