Topless gardener sparks complaints

Neighbours have complained after a woman started tending her garden while topless.

The AP reports that Catharine Pierce, 52, has been seen several times tending her yard while wearing just a yellow thong and pink gloves.

Pierce, from Boulder, Colorado, was the subject of police complaints earlier this week, but the service said she is not breaking any laws.

Boulder Housing Partners is reportedly now planning to change its rules to ban residents from appearing in their garden while nude.

Pierce's husband Robert claimed that he will fight any amendments to the housing authority's rules.

"They're making a big mistake," he said. "We'll stay the way we have to stay."

Pierce was threatened with eviction last year after gardening wearing just 'pasties' and a thong.
