Priest 'slaps man for spitting out wafer'

A priest in Spain reportedly sparked a brawl in his church after slapping a man for spitting out his communion wafer.

Father Victor Jimeno, of Valencia, allegedly struck the congregant during the Sunday service, as other worshippers stepped in to separate the pair, Metro reports.

One witness allegedly said: "I know we are supposed to turn the other cheek but Father Victor felt what this man needed most was vengeance, not forgiveness."
