Insect retailer admits 'not all bugs taste good'

Thomas Knack, 36, imports the creatures from Thailand and sells them via his Braidy Snack website.
The Berliner sells beetles, grasshoppers, bamboo worms, grubs, scorpions and various other arachnids and insects.
Knack told The Local: "I'll admit, they don't all necessarily taste very good. But they're better if you mix them with rice or potatoes."
Of his decision to close down his own store, he added: "After a while the health inspections became a bit repetitive and a bit much. And there were always people asking questions. Usually the same ones over and over."
All products are cooked thoroughly and sold in vacuum-sealed packs.
Earlier this year, a Dutch professor urged people to eat insects rather than meat for the benefit of the environment.
