Clark Gable grandson charged after pointing laser at police helicopter

Gone With The Wind star Clark Gable's grandson has been charged with pointing a laser at two police officers as they operated a helicopter.

Clark James Gable was arrested on July 28 after flashing a laser pointer at a police helicopter flying over an LA gala.

The officers flying the helicopter had their vision temporarily impaired, but were able to alert police on the ground after spotting that the laser was coming from a nearby parked car.

Clark James Gable was formally cited with three counts of discharging a laser at an aircraft in an LA court on Tuesday, according to Reuters.

He could face up to three years in jail if convicted.

The 22-year-old has been ordered to return to court on Friday for an arraignment.

Clark James seemingly addressed his court appearance on Twitter, simply writing: "...lonng day. (sic)"
