Man saved from house fire by cats

An Austrian man claims to have been saved from a dangerous house fire by his cats.

According to AFP, the 37 year-old was woken on Friday evening by his pets continually walking across his face.

After waking, he smelt burning and realised that a fire had started in his living room.

After being unable to quell the flames with a fire extinguisher, the man was forced to call the fire brigade.

Although much of the man's living room furniture was destroyed, he himself was unharmed in the incident.
