OccupyLSX protesters 'expose media' over empty tent claims - video

National newspapers splashed with some pictures of "empty" tents at the Occupy London Stock Exchange protests outside St Paul's Cathedral earlier this week.

Their infra-red cameras only picked out one "full" tent overnight, suggesting that everyone else had gone home for a cup of cocoa.

But according to thermalunderpants, everything is not as it seems...



Indeed, a military scientist told The Guardian earlier this week: "The way [the cameras] set up, you wouldn't be able to tell if there's anyone in the tent or not, especially if someone is sleeping in an insulated sleeping bag.

"I wanted to set the record straight because that's just rubbish science."

It goes to show that it's always best to take everything you read (even here!) with a pinch of salt and some double checking.

Meanwhile, Kanye West, Russell Simmons and Gossip Girl star Penn Badgley have appeared at the Occupy Wall Street protests.

So has, naturally, filmmaker Michael Moore, while 98 Degrees star Justin Jeffre was arrested at Occupy Cincinnati demonstrations.
