Boy suspended for dressing up as a banana - video

When Brian Thompson, 14, dressed up as a giant banana for a giggle, little did he know that he would get suspended for the stunt.
It's a brilliant story, but better still is this news segment from last month about the incident.
Check out the amazing outfit donned by the NBC affiliate WRC newsman Pat Collins for the second half of the clip.
Poor Brian was actually handcuffed and chucked in a police car immediately after the incident, before being given his ten-day suspension.
He insisted that he was just trying to perk up the half-time show, but the school's officials claimed that the 'nana stunt was evidence of "disobedience of an administrator", "disrespectful behaviour toward a administrator", "disruption of an activity" and more.
Some of his friends later donned "Free Banana Man" T-shirts, but had the supportive garments confiscated by the school.
