Cyclists travelled 12 miles across London dressed in their finest gear for London's first Tweed Run.

Over 300 entrants participated in the event hosted by Ralph Lauren, which celebrated the opening of their first UK Rugby store in Covent Garden.

The cyclists - who were all dressed in Tweed - stopped for a tea break during their trip and were greeted with a fancy soiree at the end of the course.

George Ryan, head of production at fashion blog Daily RUBBISH, told Digital Spy: "The Rugby Ralph Lauren Tweed Run was such a laugh to be involved with. Rarely do Londoners get the opportunity to ride in such numbers around the streets of London let alone wear tweed!

"It was great to have some of London's top bloggers involved including Susie Lau of Style Bubble and Imran Amed of Business of Fashion.

"The Made in Chelsea cast also turned up dressed head to toe in Rugby tweed. Tweed-tastic!"

Prizes were awarded for categories including 'Best Vintage Bicycle', 'Most Dashing Dame' and 'Dapper Chap', while limited edition Pashley bikes were also raffled off.
