Lembit Opik on music video: 'Usual plonkers will be outraged'

Lembit Opik has admitted that it was "quite flattering" to be asked to star in a music video.
The former Liberal Democrat MP was approached by the manager of unsigned band The Good Suns to star in their promo for single 'Pop Wound'.
Opik told BBC News: "I had a lot of faith in the producers and it came out just as we had hoped it would, a bit tongue-in-cheek.
"Whatever people think about me, there's no doubt that the world is talking about this video."
He added to Sky News: "The usual plonkers will be outraged by it but I say to them, 'Someone needs a hug'.
"If some people criticise me it is a free country; if anyone admires me that's great. But anyone who thinks that I'll disappear is wrong.
"Politics is something I do - and I've got a book about politics coming out later this month - but it doesn't define me."
