A new world record for the longest paper plane throw has been set and captured on video.
Joe Ayoob - an American football quarterback - managed to hurl the John Collins-designed paper plane 226 feet and 10 inches.
The throw took place at McClellan Air Force Base near Sacramento, California.
Ayoob, 27, told ESPN: "I grew up making paper airplanes. I used to make paper airplanes and throw them all the way home from school when I was little. So it was kind of up my alley.
"I thought it was a cool idea. Some people might think, 'What's the big deal? It's just a paper airplane'. But it's a world record."
