The art world has been messing about with cinema ever since the first movies were made, but we've rarely seen anything as impressive as this.
Artist Jeff Desom has produced a 20-minute visual installation based on Alfred Hitchcock's classic 1954 movie Rear Window (starring James Stewart and Grace Kelly) and you can watch his stunning making-of video for the project below.

"I dissected all of Hitchcock's Rear Window and stitched it back together in After Effects," Desom explained. "I stabilised all the shots with camera movement in them.
"Since everything was filmed from pretty much the same angle I was able to match them into a single panoramic view of the entire backyard without any greater distortions."
He added: "The order of events stays true to the movie's plot."
