'Hey Arnold!' turned into thriller in fan-made trailer - watch

Hey Arnold! has been given a fan-made live action trailer online.

The classic Nickelodeon 1990s cartoon series is the subject of YouTube user DrCoolSex's latest project.

The trailer sees the likes of Arnold, Helga, Gerald, Stinky, Harold and Phoebe reuniting for more adventures together in the big city.

However, the 'film' turns into a psychological horror-thriller, with themes of murder, obsession and paranoia taking over the now-teenage characters.

Hey Arnold! ran for 100 episodes over five seasons for Nickelodeon from 1996-2004. An actual Hey Arnold! The Movie was also released in 2002.

Various other nostalgic 1990s children shows have been given the fan-made trailer treatment in the past, including Doug and Rugrats.
