Zippy in 'Scarface', Bagpuss in 'Jurassic Park - video

Movie history is filled with "what ifs" when it comes to casting. Imagine Tom Selleck as Indiana Jones. Annette Bening as Catwoman. Or... Zippy as Tony 'Scarface' Montana.

Sometimes, screen test footage leaks out or gets saved for a future DVD/Blu-ray, and we can actually see what might have been if the casting director turned left, instead of right.



In support of his fellow fabric-based friends, Monkey has launched the Woolly Actors Guild to get equal rights for the knitted could-have-beens.

"Monkey is careering forwards with his WAG (Woolly Actors Guild) campaign to gain equal rights for woolly actors and has just released these films salvaged 'from the cutting room floor' that show that woolly actors have been ousted from some of Hollywood's most famous movies to make way for human actors," the campaign said.



"To give woolly actors the voice they deserve, Monkey has launched the WAG and he is now searching for the great British public's support in his tireless campaign against 'woolism' - a term he has coined to describe prejudices against woolly actors like himself. A serious, talented actor, Monkey believes 'woolist' casting directors worldwide are to blame for relegating woolly actors to children's television and commercials."
