A US politician has released a video of herself dancing to Carly Rae Jepsen's hit song 'Call Me Maybe.'
The video, posted on an official YouTube account, features Democratic Representative Loretta Sanchez and her summer interns dancing at her Capitol Hill office headquarters.
Sanchez and her interns perform a coordinated routine in the video, which was shot on Friday (June 29), as the Californian politician and her team were gearing up for the summer holiday.
At the end of the clip, the 52-year-old congresswoman turns to the camera and says: "Everybody have a safe and Happy Fourth of July."
"The video seemed like a great way to inject lightheartedness into the week and welcome the [Independence Day] holiday weekend," Sanchez's press secretary Adrienne Watson told ABC News.
"We appreciate our interns so much. We want them to learn a lot, but we want them to have fun, too."
Jepsen, who experienced a surge of interest in the song after a viral video featuring Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez surfaced online, will be touring with Bieber later this year.
