'Super Moonwalk' becomes YouTube hit

A Californian street performer has wowed YouTube viewers with an extreme take on Michael Jackson's famous moonwalk dance move.

Footage of the dancer - named Eric Nash - travelling backwards at great speed down a Santa Monica street has attracted over 1.5 million views on the video sharing site.

Dubbed "SUPER MoonWalking", the video features Nash gliding down the middle of a rain-soaked street.

Swinging his legs high behind him, the performer covers around 50 metres using the tricky dance technique in the 21-second clip.

Viewers shared their awe at the footage, with one saying: "MoonWalking - no its MOONRUNING !!!!"

Last month, Digital Spy readers named 'Man in the Mirror' as Jackson's greatest ever single.
