Motorcyclist crashes into deer during rally - video

A motorcyclist has uploaded a video of him crashing into a deer mid-race.

The driver was taking part in the West Virginia rally at the Snowshoe Mountain Resort, and had driven over 300 miles by the time of the incident.

The deer suddenly jumped out in front of him and sent them both flying across the road.



Thanks to the driver's head and body gear, he emerged unscathed from the crash, and was able to quickly get back on his bike and continue the rally.

The rally driver - known as 'ft4lbch' on YouTube - stated that he went on to finish second overall and first in the 450cc class.

He also confirmed that the deer managed to also get up and walk back into the woods.

"The deer went into the wood on its own power. In the full video of SS13 you can see that I checked to see if it was still there and then proceeded to the finish to alert the race course officials about the incident," he wrote.
