Anchorman stuns weathergirl with awkward "canoodle" remark - video

A news presenter on Canadian television has stunned the weather girl when he awkwardly suggested they "canoodle" live on air.

The incident took place on a local news broadcast after a segment had mentioned "canoodling". The anchorman Andrew then introduced weathergirl Astrid.



Andrew quipped: "It's time now for a full look at your forecast with Astrid. Maybe we can canoodle before you get into it."

The comment generated a shocked and confused reaction from Astrid, who made it clear there wouldn't be any "canoodling".

Moments later, Andrew claimed that he thought 'canoodle' meant 'chat', adding that producers had to explain what the term meant.
