Tatjana Rasevic, 30, was nearly swept to her death in an avalanche on the peak of Suva Planina mountain in Serbia two years ago.
Soldier Nenad Podova, 32, who was her tour guide, saved her from being trapped under tons of snow.
The couple have now got married, having the ceremony 6,000ft up the same mountain where they first met.
Nenad said: "This way we can thank the mountain for sparing Tatjana's life and for throwing us together."
The avalanche survivor Tatjana said about her saviour: "I couldn't believe I was still alive when this amazing looking man pulled me up from under the snow. I thought he was an angel."
