Jon Stewart has mocked Clint Eastwood's infamous Republican National Convention speech.
The legendary actor and director was the special guest at the event last week, where he put on a skit involving an empty chair.
The 82-year-old criticised current president Barack Obama's policies concerning health care and the economy during his speech.
On a special edition of The Daily Show, Stewart spoke of his amazement that Eastwood "spent 12 minutes on the most important night of Mitt Romney's life yelling at a chair".
"This is the most joy I've gotten from an old man since Dick Cheney non-fatally shot one in the face," Stewart joked.
He continued that it is not usually difficult to find an old man shouting at inanimate objects in New York, saying: "But rarely is that object on stage at a national political convention.
"And almost never is that old man Oscar winner Clint Eastwood."
Barack Obama later responded to Clint Eastwood's speech, stating: "This seat's taken."
