The White House detailed the secret ingredients in a blog post entitled "Ale to the Chief", the BBC reports.
The recipe was revealed after 13,000 people signed an online petition for its release. One individual even filed a freedom of information request demanding its unveiling.
The US president has been drinking the beer during breaks on his election campaign and has even offered it to voters.
The ingredients for the beer include: light malt extract, amber crystal malt, honey, gypsum, yeast and corn sugar.
Head brewer Sam Kass, who is also the head chef at The White House, said: "With public excitement about White House beer fermenting such a buzz, we decided we better hop right to it."
Even though it is Kass who takes charge of the brewing, it has been said that the president is responsible for sourcing ingredients and providing equipment.
