Chinese quadruplets have numbers shaved into heads to tell them apart

A mother in China has had numbers shaved into her children's heads so that people can tell them apart.

Tan Chaoyun from the Guangdong Province shaved numbers onto her 6-year-old identical quadruplets to help their teachers and classmates, as even the quartet's parents sometimes struggle themselves.



"My sons are identical, even to me," the mother said.

"Even now, their father can't tell which one is which. Sometimes, he punishes the second one for something the third one has done."

The mother took the boys to a barber for crew cuts, but left the numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4 on the centres of their heads.

Chinese website Now News stated the boys' teachers have approved of the parents' decision.
