A seagull has apparently stolen a camera from a tourist in San Francisco, filming itself flying away in the process.
Tourist Nathalie Rollandin, who had been visiting the coast near Crissy Field, uploaded video footage inadvertently filmed by the bird to YouTube.
Rollandin wrote: "Funny video of how a seagull stole my GoPro, flew over the water in front of Golden Gate Bridge and how the camera incredibly managed to survive, recording everything!
A flying video from a seagull's mouth! A San Francisco sunset I will hardly forget."
The video has been seen by over 200,000 people since it went live earlier this month.
There has, however, been debate over the authenticity of the footage. Some YouTube users have speculated that it could be part of a viral marketing campaign for GoPro, who specialise in the manufacture of compact, shockproof cameras and camcorders.
