A diamond-encrusted dress valued at £3.5 million ($5.67m) has been unveiled at a fashion show in Ukraine.
According to The Daily Telegraph, the garment is the work of British designer Debbie Wingham, who adorned the handmade piece with 50 two-carat black diamonds.
Wingham - who insisted that the diamonds were from a fair trade and "conflict-free mine" - also showed several other diamond-covered dresses at her Kiev presentation, but the star attraction divided audience opinion.
"It really emphasises the star quality of the person who wears it," said one guest, who praised how "wonderful" it looked in photos and on film.
However, another disappointed attendee claimed that she regretted "how many diamonds were 'killed' in the making of such an ugly dress".
