The world's first 'liliger' has reportedly been born at a Siberian zoo.
Lions and tigers are kept in the same enclosure at the Novosibirsk Zoo, with a female liger named Zita being born.
Zita has now given birth to a cub from a lion that kept in the same place, with the offspring being called a 'liliger'.
The zoo believe that the hybrid is the only one of its kind in the world.
Named Kiara, the female cub will be available for viewing by the public in October, after being born last month.
"'This cub has just started growing and develop, her character has not even formed yet," the zoo's Roza Solovyova told Reuters.
"But I'm confident she will be a calm, confident, strong animal".
