Scroobius Pip vs Movember: 'No Momo' - video

Scroobius Pip has said that he is not impressed by people growing facial hair for Movember.

The bearded rapper has made a YouTube video to explain why he will instead be climbing Mount Snowdon in support of the Institute of Cancer Research.



Pip has set up a JustGiving page for his expedition, which will take place between November 10 and November 16.

"I'm not impressed," Pip explained of fans asking for Movember shout-outs at gigs in November.

"You shouldn't need an excuse to grow a beard. You should grow a beard because that's how a man's face is meant to look."

He added: "This is just how my face is meant to look, because I'm a man. I'm annoyed that people need an excuse to grow a beard. Just man up and grow a beard or moustache.

"What you're choosing to do for charity is having an extra five minutes in bed each morning, and not bothering getting up to shave. I ain't impressed. I ain't impressed with your Movember.

"I'm turning the 'Mo' in my 'Movember' into the 'mo' at the beginning of 'mountain'. And I'm going to climb a mountain. Because I already don't shave each morning.

"I already do that. I do that for me. I do that for you. Not for cancer... a beard is for life, not just for charity!"
