Jimmy Savile prank text fools BBC Radio Ulster - listen
Karen Patterson was discussing the now-disgraced TV star when she began to read out texts about the matter.
One of the messages she read out said: "I wish everyone would stop criticising Jimmy Savile. He was a nice man. When I was 8, he fixed it for me to milk a cow blindfolded."
Patterson, learning that the text was a prank, apologised afterwards, stating: "I am very sorry if I have caused any offence, but apologies. It was a genuine mistake."
Savile, who died last year, has been described as one of the most prolific sex offenders in recent UK history.
Police are investigating more than 400 lines of inquiry and have said that there could be as many as 300 victims.
