The three-minute clip features street-stunt performer Ronnie Shalvis as Connor and includes recreations of gameplay sequences.
The dramatisation begins with Shalvis performing one of Connor's signature moves in a forest setting. The video's creator Devin Graham worked with developers Ubisoft in order to determine which in-game kill technique would be the most impressive when recreated in real life, and chose the rope-dart method.
"We got the video game footage that actually takes place in the video game and we're basically trying to recreate that exact same kill," said Graham in behind-the-scenes footage, also posted online.
Shalvis - wearing an outfit created by freelance costume designer Allison Dredge - can also be seen back-flipping off tree trunks and scaling rock faces without a harness while being chased by a group of army redcoats on horseback.
The chase concludes with a dramatic tomahawk kill as Connor sees off the last of his pursuers.
