A video has been released showing a quick history of presidential campaign videos.
Ahead of tonight's (November 6) 2012 election between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, the video contains clips of most campaign TV ads from 1952 to now.
From 1952's 'I Like Ike' campaign from Dwight D Eisenhower to 2012's efforts, the cleverly edited montage shows the classic tactics used by candidates over the years.

While policies and issues have changed throughout the decades, the video shows that the format of building one candidate up and bringing another down has continued to be practised.
Presidents John F Kennedy, Richard Nixon, Bill Clinton and others appear in the video, alongside unsuccessful candidates including Al Gore and Michael Dukakis.
The video was edited by YouTube user Hugh Atkin.
