Rachael Speller, from Benington, Hertfordshire, earned the title as she flew a four-seater Piper Archer airplane solo.
Speller recalled: "It dawned on me as I was sitting on the runway that I'm not old enough to drive, but was about to fly.
"It definitely makes my parents nervous, but they are excited for me - and I absolutely love it."
Speller has now flown solo for a total of 50 hours. She began taking lessons at 14 years old.
