Efrain Moreno Alvarez was arrested for drink-driving last Sunday (November 11) by an officer, who noticed a strong smell coming from the vehicle.
A spokesperson for the Waynesboro Police Department stated: "When the officer approached Alvarez, not only did he detect a strong odour of alcohol coming from the driver, but also a strong odour of skunk."
Alvarez revealed that the skunk hanging from his back windscreen wiper in a shopping bag had been slaughtering his chickens.
The 40-year-old man failed the sobriety test with a blood alcohol content of .15.
