Tactile paving criticised for zig-zag design - picture

Tactile paving in the city of Taiyuan, China has been criticised for its zig-zag design.

The distinct surface is often used to help those who are blind or partially sighted, but over a stretch of 100 metres, the tactile path features 56 turns.



Not only is it deemed too complicated, but sighted people who walk down the street regularly have also complained of ending up feeling dizzy as a result of the twisty paving.
