The 21-year-old Beijing native uploaded pictures of herself wearing the out-there ensemble on social network Weibo, reports The Huffington Post.
According to a text post made by the girl and translated by Beijing Cream, the dress was a 21st birthday present from her 'sugar daddy'.
She wrote: "I'm wearing [an outfit] apparently worth 200,000 yuan, a present my 'daddy' racked his brains to buy for me, isn't it praiseworthy!
"Sisters, don't be covetous. [I'm] shocked by the value of the dress, all those CHANEL, LV in my closet are worthless now."
The conjoined banknotes on the dress are reportedly the equivalent of $32,000 (£20,000), though one commenter on the post says that the bills are not yuan but are in fact Ukrainian banknotes worth $200 (£125).
