The theft took place last Saturday, and after searching for the stolen wheels, the owner spotted them advertised in a photo on popular auction site Blocket.
Speaking to The Local, Göran Tolf of Helsingborg police said: "They weren't just any old wheels. They were worth around 100,000 kronor (£9,400)."
The man swiftly contacted police who raided an apartment in the region, and arrests were made on the same day.
The wheels were then swiftly returned to the rightful owner.
Three people were arrested as a result of the crime - a 20-year-old man and two women, aged 25 and 26. All have been held on suspicion of theft with a further charge of handling stolen goods.
