Wang Xiaomeng was found guilty of impersonating a police officer on Monday (November 26) on social networking website Weibo - China's equivalent of Twitter.
The 23-year-old model posted two pictures, one of which showed her legs bare while she was getting dressed.
She teased: "As a new cop in my hometown, I need to learn the basics. As one of the flowers of the force, I am under pressure.
"I have to eat and drink with government leaders every day. I am using my flower status to dine with the leaders and win contracts for projects and investments!"
The photos were removed shortly after receiving a number of critical comments.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Wang later clarified that the pictures were part of an advert that she had been paid for, adding: "The costume was just a prop. I was so ignorant."
The judge gave Wang a nine-month suspended prison sentence.
