Clint Pierce, who worked at Pompano Beach's Fire Rescue Department for 20 years, replaced ordinary toilet rolls in the station's bathrooms with his specially-printed Obama ones.
He was then sacked for insubordination after he was discovered.
City of Pompano Beach spokesperson Sandra King told WSVN: "If you have an opinion, you're certainly entitled to it.
"But you don't display it on city property, on city grounds that maybe someone else doesn't agree with. That's politically motivated, and it's inappropriate."
It follows a separate incident with Pierce, who was reprimanded for putting anti-Obama stickers on his locker.
