A seal has been seen in Cambridgeshire after swimming up a flooded lake.
The mammal is thought to have travelled over 50 miles to an RSPB nature reserve at Fen Drayton Lakes Reserve, in Swavesey, Cambridgeshire.
Graham Elliott, a spokesperson for the RSPB, described the sighting as "surprising", reports BBC News.
Elliott added: "You occasionally get seals in the River Ouse near St Ives but I've never known of one here before."
The man who filmed the footage on Sunday (December 30) has been named only as Robjn and said that he originally believed the animal to be a dog.
He said: "As it came up for air I could see it was a seal. It was swimming up a ditch that links to the Great Ouse. In the video, it is swimming from the ditch up into the flooded field."
