Mothers Aimee and Ashlee Nelson, both 19, gave birth within two hours of each other at America's Summa Akron City Hospital, reports Beacon.
Aimee welcomed Donavyn Scott Bratten into the world just after midday on New Year's Day, with sister Ashlee becoming a mother to Aiden Lee Alan Dilts at 2.03pm the same day.
The babies' grandmother Marcella Farson spoke about their arrival, saying they had gifts under the Christmas tree.
Farson said: "They got little outfits, snowsuits, rattles, little toys, and they got their first Hot Wheels cars. They weren't even here yet and they got their first gifts from Santa."
On her daughters' mirrored arrivals, Farson said: "Within the past two months, me being the mother, I would get a whiny phone call in the middle of the night on what's going on and I would hang the phone up and literally five minutes later I would have the other one crying."
She also added that the twins did not plan their pregnancies to fall at the same time, and that they grew up very much as individuals.
