The snow giant, which stands at 6 metres tall, was built by Bob Mann of London, Ontario and can be seen standing outside the front of his house.
Mann planned to build the snowman last year, but an unexpected mild winter and almost no snow but a stop to his plans.
According to Toronto Sun, London received its first big snowfall this winter, and Mann put his plans in action.
He said: "I made an 11-foot snowman a few years ago. It was either go big or go home."
However, to create a snowman on such a large scale took a bit of "cheating", claims Mann, which came in the form of plywood boxes for each layer and filling them with snow.
The boxes made it easier to climb and lift the snow up, with the help of scaffolding and ladders.
The snow used was found around Mann's house, outside his neighbours' houses and a bank across the road.
Mann added: "If it lasts two weeks, I'm happy."
