Models swim with sharks for photo shoot - video

Models have swam underwater with whale sharks in the Philippines.

Hannah Fraser and Roberta Mancino swam with 30-foot-long whale sharks in Oslob in a bid to raise awareness of the sharks which are often victims of poaching.



Photographer Kristian Schmidt also swam with the sharks to capture the extraordinary photographs, a project which required four months of planning.

Photographers tracked the whale sharks down using knowledge of the Philippine locals.

Locals have developed a bond with the animals and local fisherman often feed them handfuls of shrimp, which aided in attracting the whale sharks to the location of the photographers.
