The player secured the December 22 prize worth £125,942 by matching five numbers and the bonus ball, but has insisted that his identity remain anonymous.
He is said to be worried about the abuse he would get from opposing fans, reports the Daily Mail.
A spokesman for the National Lottery said: "Unless a winner chooses to take publicity, then no details are released.
"We are therefore unable to confirm or deny any winner rumours.
"He wants to keep a low profile because of the stick he'll get."
