Celine Dion has sung in Mandarin on Chinese state television.
The 'My Heart Will Go On' singer made the appearance as part of the Chinese New Year celebrations, taking on the famous native folk song 'Jasmine Flower'.
Dion revealed how she managed to tackle the challenge of singing in another language.
"I had wonderful people in the studio with me, helping me to understand the meaning of the song," the Canadian singer said.
"But even in between the lines of what you sing, you have to feel the music. You have to feel the passion."
Dion continued: "It's very difficult to pinpoint passion. It's very difficult to pinpoint emotion. That is something that is around us, and I think that lifts the music."
The 2013 Lunar New Year happened on Sunday, February 10. It is the year of the snake.
