Invisible barking dog prank in hearing test - video

A new YouTube video has shown how surround sound technology can create funny pranks.

Internet comedians Rhett & Link staged an audio experiment, using DTS's Headphone:X technology which produces realistic 3D surround sound through a pair of headphones.



Test subjects were asked to listen to various beeps and say what direction they were coming from.

However, the testers then got their dog Bullet to bark loudly, making it sound as if the subjects were about to be attacked from behind.

When each participant leaps or screams, they are met with a cuddly kitten in a basket.

The funniest moment arrives when one man is relieved to find the kitten and gladly takes it in his arms to cuddle.

Cee Lo Green reportedly provided his cat Purrfect from NBC's The Voice for the experiment.
