The Mad Men actor has taken part in Rookie magazine's 'Ask a Grown Man' series to share his particular brand of wisdom on young love.
Hamm answered a variety of relationship questions for Rookie, including a query from a 16-year-old who can't tell her if her crush shares her romantic feelings.
"The world is your oyster. You'll be just fine. Don't define yourself with who wants to get with you," Hamm advised, adding: "I'm sure you're a lovely person."
Hamm was also asked by a young woman if flatulence could ever be acceptable in front of a partner.
"This [question] is from Anonymous, believe it or not," Hamm quipped. "I was under the impression that girls never fart."
The Don Draper actor went on to say: "Farting is farting. Everybody farts. Go read the book Everybody Poops. Same thing."
The Office's BJ Novak, Paul Rudd, Hannibal Buress and Dave Hill have previous offered relationship tips for 'Ask A Grown Man'.
Hamm's series Mad Men continues on Tuesdays on Sky Atlantic in the UK and on Sundays on AMC in the US.
